Kiddy Talk

  • Aug. 31st, 2008 at 1:17 AM

A curious little boy asks his dad where poo comes from.

His dad explains that food passes down the oesophagus to the stomach where digestive enzymes induce a probiotic reaction in the alimentary canal to extract protein before waste products descend via the colon and rectum to emerge as "poo".

"Blimey" says the boy.. "what about Tigger?"

To my dear readers: Doesn't the Dad remind you of Melvin?

HELLO HELLO PEOPLE. I think we have a really happening class here because we have 3 people having their birthday in a row!!! (on another interesting note, we have two pairs of people having same birthday, one who have her birthday on christmas, and one who had his birthday on 20/07/2007 last year!)

So anyway, today is our CT rep's birthday!!! But more importantly, we celebrated the birthday of 3 people in our class yesterday!

So give it up to Amelia, Fiona and Yan Cheng who are born on the 26th, 27th and 28th of August respectively!!!

WOW, 3 people cutting the cake at the same time (and Amelia's hair is very messy)

So happy 18th birthday the 3 of you.

And for those who were waiting, this is how Yan Cheng's helicopter looks like...

Look, it's a shining apache!!! Too bad it can't fly like one...

So with that, prelims are starting again in another 12 days. Study hard people!!!

ONE-SIX-OH-ATE

  • Aug. 16th, 2008 at 1:24 PM

16th of August is a very nice date, for 16/08 = 2!

MORE IMPORTANTLY, yesterday we celebrated the birthday for our very own treasurer (whose birthday is actually today by the way), DEBORAH!!!

The fruit cake, as per requested

Our tiny Master-Chef in the making

So happy baking birthday Deborah!!! Hope you're having a good time now boozing and clubbing studying away.

(and to all those who haven't paid Deborah money for class funds, please do so asap)

In other news,Singapore's Table Tennis Women has gone into the finals! That means a medal (silver most likely) for Singapore after 48 years!!! Isn't that just amazing?! All the best for the Table Tennis team for the game tomorrow. (ironically, the 3 players in the team are from China)

Wazzup This Week

  • Aug. 10th, 2008 at 5:45 PM

Hey people

Please remember the following things, which are VERY VERY important...

First up, it's the Bio split lectures (caste system -.-)

LT5 - 50% and above for CT2
LT4 - 42% and below and CT2
LT3 - 43% - 49% for CT 2

That means anyone who scored 42-43% or 49-50% has no where to go!!!

What to prepare: 2007 VJC Prelim paper, start with Core paper, then Application and MCQ

Next up it's for Thursday's Maths Lecture

Maths Hypothesis Testing Test (notice the alliteration)
No. of questions: 1!!!

That's about it people. And for those of you who haven't gotten your result slip signed, please get them signed, or else Mr. Lim will transform into a ferocious beast and eat you up!!! RAWR!!!

From,
The Reminder Boy

National Day

  • Aug. 10th, 2008 at 5:30 PM

While a few individuals ponned school on Friday, the majority of us felt patriotic and decided to turn up for our school's very own celebration of our nation's 43rd birthday! So here are some photos of the happenings that day.

The pseudo-NDP

Later for lunch at Café Galilee (I think that's how it's spelled?)...

Yan Cheng: GASP, I didn't know you keep this kind of things in your phone Edmund!!!

Let's stare at the food...hopefully it won't turn cold that way!

  • Jul. 24th, 2008 at 3:54 PM

Hey people of 07S35, tomorrow is 'Lao Pok Handphone Day'! So please remember to bring your very very old handphones tomorrow so that we can have fun with them! Cya at the Lao Pok Square!

THE ILLNESS BUG

  • Jul. 22nd, 2008 at 5:18 PM

Before I start, we are very shocked honoured that Mr Lim has found our blog. Now we know that he spends 24/7 of his time on Google trying to find out tracks that we leave behind!

OMGGXXED

And today, 07S35 was a rather zombiefied class due to the spate of people falling ill! (sorry if I passed the cold bug to anybody >.<) And I bet our random spoutings (炸蛋!) is actually due to the lack of sanity with our focused efforts at combating the evil bugs in our body. As the wise man always says, prevention is better than cure. An apple a day keeps the doctor away (if the doctor is chio, throw the apple away). So here is one drink which may help y'all peeps combat the evil bugs.

Presenting, the orange juice!

WOW! Aren't you tempted to grab a cup of orangenade right away? The picture here is home-squeezed orange juice made with TLC. For those who are lazy to squeeze fresh oranges, I suggest you buying Sunkist orange juice. Hopefully we can all recover soon so that we can chiong all the way for Prelims!

(on a side note) James and I were chatting with Mr Chan at the Chinese Food stall just now, and we mentioned to him about a class of sick people. James wanted to propose a full day, but he just couldn't bring the issue up in the end. Sorry peeps!

---------
Yesterday was racial harmony day. Although no one dressed up in any ethnic costumes, our CT rep decided to set a good example by returning to her very roots!

OMG so unglam! You count first then I post for you!

That's better =D

So we should embrace the courage of our CT rep and learn from her! Cheers peeps!

The Sick And Dying Wise Man, Jiehao

Boo! haha, this is the first time i (who am I?) am actually posting anything on a blog. Always wanted to start a blog (to put homework and other stuff :p) but could never get down to doing it. I hope none of you guys leave or stop posting after seeing this cause this is a good way for everyone to pen their thoughts and for me to know you all better. There are only 5 more months left for you to hear me nagging every morning during assembly so hopefully the class can still keep in touch after that. Anyway, if anyone (Amanda?) has grouses or complaints, they could just put it up here and maybe something can be done about it. I also want to say how glad i am to have you all as my first civics class in VJC and my only regret is that i could not do more for everyone. Ok thats it for today and could you all PLEASE move to the front tomorrow during assembly :p

Time After Time (Quietdrive)
Lying in my bed
I hear the clock tick
And think of you
Caught up in circles
Confusion is nothing new
You say
Go slow
I fall behind
The second hand
Unwinds

If you’re lost
You can look
And you will find me
Time after time
If you fall
I will catch you
I’ll be waiting
Time after time
Time after time
Time after time

Sometimes
You picture me
I’m walking
Too far ahead
You’re calling
To me
I can’t hear
Just what you’ve said

You say
Go slow
I fall behind
The second hand
Unwinds

If you’re lost
You can look
And you will find me
Time after time
If you fall
I will catch you
I’ll be waiting
Time after time

After
My picture fades
And darkness
Has turned to grey
Watching
Through windows
You’re wondering
If I’m okay

And you say
Go slow
I fall behind
The drum beats
Out of time

If you’re lost
You can look
And you will find me
Time after time
If you fall
I will catch you
I’ll be waiting
Time after time
If you’re lost
You can look
And you will find me
Time after time
If you fall
I will catch you
I’ll always be waiting
Time after time
Time after time

Record Breakers

  • Jul. 18th, 2008 at 6:35 PM

Being the very outstanding class that we are, 07S35 has managed to break the record of 'Squeezing the most number of students into two long tables'. Here's the evidence of the record breaking event:

As you can see, we managed to squeeze about 17/18 people into two tables (including the cameraman, Uncle Peh). But this was definitely not our best record so far!

We shall do our best to break even more records, such as the most number of people eaitng from 'Yong Tau Foo' stall or the most number of chicken wings consumed in a day!

In the meantime, here's a picture for you people to chew upon. Some unknown cute crazy person spammed all these romantic lovey dovey quotes all over the table I was sitting on. He/she didn't even let the table railing off!

deeee-stress!

  • Jul. 17th, 2008 at 10:21 PM

knowing how stressful school life is with the many revision lectures going on and full-force tutorials, we have our own way of de-stressing!

Happening Happenings

  • Jul. 16th, 2008 at 3:24 PM

While everyone's stressed out over mugging, lectures and everything else, we shall have some comic relief from this very stage we call 'life'.

So yesterday we received our GP grades. While everyone were freaking out over the freaking tough comprehension and fretting over their marks, we had some laugh over our CHrep's paper. Flip over to his AQ and you see this:

Such is one of the consequence of being such a cool dude like our CHrep.

So for today, while the girls were all so focused on Chem revision lecture, the guys (being guys) were doing stupid stuffs behind their backs. One particular girl fell to prey to a weirdo with IMBA HUGE HAIRY HANDS. Here's some of the things done to the poor girl by the monster.

Mr. Hairy Hand strikes Mystery Girl

Mr. Hairy Hand mocks Mystery Girl

Mr. Hairy Hand doing weird stuffs to Mystery Girl (you all know who 'Mystery Girl' is by now)

So to all girls out there reading this, please watch out for Mr. Hairy Hand during lectures, for we do not know when he may strike again, and what he might actually do when he strikes...or you will face the consequences...MUAHAHAHA...

Cheers,
